furnace, heat, etc.

I opened up my spam filter just now, as I do every few days to check for real messages that went astray, and found this subject line: "Give her furnace some heat". It claims to be a pharmaceutical company sending the message, and of course I didn't even try to open it. But wow, "give her furnace some heat" is the least hot metaphor for sex ever, with its imagery of shovels and hods and coal. Maybe the spammer is a huge fan of Busman's Honeymoon, and after giving the furnace some heat, the man goes out to be washed under the pump like a puppy!

it's the *possibility* that fascinates me

I'm loving this season of Survivor; I'm enjoying it more now than I have for a couple of years. Kass just made a huge move in the game - and yes, I know, she could go home next week, because no one likes betrayal. Now that the tribes are 6-4, the LJ/Tony/Jefra/Woo/Trish group could send Kass packing. But on the other hand, if people believe what Spencer said about how Kass could never win the game now, they'd be fools to vote her out. So I see a scenario where she could be kept around until the end, as that person who doesn't have a hope of winning. And then, because she's an attorney (and presumably able to argue well, though not every attorney does that day to day) and she made a big move, she could possibly make a good case for herself in the final three.
Or, of course, as I said: she could be voted off at the next Tribal, and then she and Sarah will have an awkward reunion wherever the jury is sequestered.
But the possibility, the endless twists of the game - who could have guessed Kass would flip, that the five listed above would vote for Sarah, or that LJ would play his idol - is what makes Survivor so fascinating sometimes.
